I had a literary agent for about a year but nothing came of it--long story short, though, it seems that this is the best way to go and I am very excited to finally be in the process! You see, my old caravan insurance has expired, and now I need to find a new alternative to my old caravan insurance. My old caravan insurance was very good, it covered almost all expenses, and my home liability was almost nothing, unless there was problems involving a group. Otherwise my old caravan insurance was just perfect for me. I can't wait to see what you create--I'm sure it will be amazing. In terms of the number of illustrations I'll need, I was hoping for pictures of certain scenes, which I guess I will just list for you to make it easier (there are 8 altogether--below). By the way, if you have other ideas for the drawings, please let me know, since you're the artist! Here are the illustration descriptions:

Illustration 1:*(I'm not sure how you would set this up, but I imagined it to be the boy sitting under the pear tree (which is close to the shore), and the pirate ship sailing into the dock in the background. I imagined the boy to be about 9 or 10 years old, and to be wearing somewhat old-fashioned (but casual) clothes. I didn't specify the time-period, but I'm thinking maybe its around the 1700's):"One day as I sat under a tree full of pears, I heard what sounded like the creak of some stairs. I turned and I peeked round the side of the tree, and said to myself, “do I believe what I see?” For right there in front of me, pulling up to the shore was a huge wooden ship with ten pirates or more!"

Illustration 2:*(For this drawing, I imagined the pirates standing in a line, all with somewhat sad facial expressions, with the Captain pacing back and forth while he talks to them, and the ship in the background--I don't think I described what all of the pirates were wearing, except for the one with a plaid kilt on, but I imagined the rest of them to be wearing somewhat colorful outfits)"The captain spoke loudly so each man could hear, and I watched from my pear tree, trembling with fear. “Men,” said the Captain, as he paced back and forth, “you all know why we’ve come to the land of the north.” All the men nodded and seemed to look sad, especially the pirate wearing red and blue plaid. The Captain continued on with his speech, as I listened and strained to hear what he preached. He spoke of the land from where they had come and how everyone laughed and always made fun."

To be continued…
